ALL I WANNA DO...

SLEEP! SLEEP! SLEEP!

I have not had a full night's sleep since...I can't even remember
when, and I don't know if I can't remember because its really been as long as I think it has or if its because its just one of the other 100 things I can know longer remember. I've mentioned that I'm on an anti-nausea medication because I've been so sick my doctors have threatened to hospitalize me two different times. One of the side effects of the medication is drowsiness and dry mouth. The type of dry mouth I'm referring to is one that you have after running several miles in Las Vegas in the middle of the summer. My mouth gets so dry (and I sleep with it closed), that I wake up in the middle of the night needing to get a drink of water. That drink of water adds two more bathroom trips to the four I already make. When I'm not thirsty or answering calls from mother nature-I wake up because I have restless legs-which can only be relieved with some intense stretching and jogging in place or up and down the stairs. If that wasn't enough, there's the wonderful feeling of my stomach acid crawling back up my throat, and the especially tasty Tums (I HATE the taste and texture of Tums.)

This is why I'm so GRUMPY all the time. I had noticed that I've been really irritable, and somewhat angry the majority of the time, and I have finally figured out why. It's because I'm exhausted!!! I don't mean to write about all my sleepless woes except for the purposes of 1. Warning all and any who are to come with in five feet of me during the next four months and 2. to apologize for any rudeness I have thrown in your direction or will throw in your direction during the next four months.

Thanks for your understanding in relation to my perma-bad mood; if you don't understand...don't tell me about it...it won't be pretty.

Wow-sounds like pregnancy is rough. Maybe we will keep putting it off a little longer! haha. I'm sorry that you are so sick. I'm glad to finally see a picture-although we can't see your belly! We need more pics!

Sheryl you are such a trooper! I would die if I were you. I had the hardest time just being normal sick and that was only until I was 16 weeks. I hope you get an angel baby- you deserve one! I really hope you get some good sleep soon. It's just wrong when you can't sleep when you're pregnant. So wrong.

Sheryl!!!!!!!!!!!!
You have my utmost pity and all the sympathies in the world! I was barely sick and that was life altering and debilitating for me. I can't even imagine how horrible it is for you! Now you're for sure not obligated to have more than one child. Mouth dry, peeing six times a night for 9 months? Vomit reducers? You need a medal. I'm so sorry, Sheryl! Having a baby will be cake for you. Did your mom and relatives get this sick?

Also, you shouldn't just be in a perma-bad mood, you should be horrible and vicious to everyone to make us all understand just a little bit what you're going through. There, you have my permission! Say whatever you want to anyone, don't hold anything back! "I'm pregnant, hear me roar (and moan and complain)! should be your motto.

Thanks everyone for your support and sympathy. It really does make me feel better. My little dog chewie has been my best friend while being prego. He sleeps when I sleep, he follows me loyally to every bathroom trip, he sits beside me when I get sick, he's the greatest. Dave usallly sleeps through all my midnight misery-which is fine. We don't need TWo grumpy people!

I've had really hard pregnancies, too, and unfortunately it doesn't guarantee an easy baby, although it definitely should!

Did you know that you can get Rolaids in a fruity chew kind of a thing? No bad texture and believe it or not they worked for me at the end of my pregnancy. Good luck!

Don't EVER feel guilty about sleeping when you're pregnant. Sleep as much as you are physically able. Making a baby is very physically draining and you need tons of sleep to feel somewhat normal. You'll feel better when the baby comes even though you'll be tired (just remember it starts out the worst and continues to get better and better every week).
I didn't realize your leg thing was restless leg. You kind of sugar coated it just now. It sounded a lot worse on the phone and I'm sure that's how bad it really is. I have restless leg syndrome but I didn't realize it was a condition until I saw those tv ads months ago. I was so shocked and told Adam I had that. He started laughing at me thinking I was joking and that it was a joke condition. It's funny until you're the one who can't sleep because of your legs.

I forgot.. yea a picture! You can't see your belly (or your face) but it's such a cute picture. I bet it's nice you have your buddy back with you (I call Abner my buddy). Oh, this is funny... Kelly Ripa got a dog and one of the kids named it Chewy.
